Cream
Goes
Green

We are leading the way to a greener production industry. Since 2021, Cream has measured and offset the carbon footprint of all productions and offices. We continuously review our emissions and reduce them wherever possible. And we are active in sharing knowledge and building capacity in the broader film and television industry.

Carbon Offsets

Carbon offsets counter the emissions associated with an activity through an equivalent donation to certified carbon-reduction or carbon-neutral projects like improved forest management, green energy, or climate action. Offset credits may be purchased by any individual, company, or organization to compensate and balance the greenhouse gas emissions they produce.

For us, our first priority is always to reduce our emissions. We do this by looking closely at footprint data and adjusting activities wherever possible. What we can’t reduce, we offset.

Since we began carbon offsetting, we have purchased all carbon offsets from the Great Bear Rainforest Project in BC, Canada.

The Great Bear
Rainforest
Carbon Project

Located on the North and Mid Coast & Haida Gwaii of BC, Canada, The Great Bear Rainforest is home to the largest intact coastal temperate rainforest remaining in the world. The resources of the Great Bear are vast and valuable to Coastal First Nations, environmental groups, forest companies and governments. Together, these groups have adopted an Ecosystem Based Management (EBM) approach that values the forest not as a source of lumber alone, but as a balanced system that sustains biodiversity and an enriched community.
